Which green wall for outdoors needs little maintenance?

The CoolPlantWall® is the green wall for indoors and outdoors. The green façade is built from separate 90 x 90 cm panels on a sturdy metal grid: UV-resistant, weather-resistant and fire-retardant. The different A, B and C panels prevent repeating patterns. The green façade can also be further adapted and made to measure for any outdoor space. The CoolPlantWall® is made to withstand weather and wind and stay beautiful for many years with little maintenance.

The Coolplant team is ready to design, supply and install your green façade! Do you have enough handy people in-house? Then the CoolPlantWall® system is also perfectly suitable for self-installation. Simply order the separate panels; the fixings are included. And of course, you will get advice and guidance from us for a perfect end result.

The CoolPlantWall® green façade

The CoolPlantWall® outdoor is our green façade. It is built from separate 90 x 90 cm panels on a sturdy metal grid: UV-resistant, weather-resistant and fire-retardant. The different A, B and C panels prevent repeating patterns. The wall can also be further adapted and made to measure for any outdoor space.

Each panel consists of 15 different types of artificial plants, 88 plants per panel in total. The strong galvanised grids have a black powder coating and are fixed to the wall at four points with screws and the supplied brackets.

This green façade is made to withstand weather and wind and stay beautiful for many years with little maintenance. Dust and dirt are generally washed away by wind and rain; where needed, you can spray the plants clean with a low-pressure washer. Depending on exposure to sunlight and high temperatures, some discolouration may occur after a number of years. It is advisable to inspect the fixing points every five years and carry out maintenance where needed.

Are green façades sustainable?

All green façades from Coolplant are sustainably produced and recyclable. And like all our products, you can also return these artificial plants to us if you ever want to part with them. We will then ensure that the materials are reused.

What is the green façade made of?

Our green façade is made up of individual 90 x 90 cm panels on a sturdy metal grid. Each panel consists of 15 different types of artificial plants, with a total of 88 plants per panel. The strong galvanised grids have a black powder coating. This green façade is made to withstand the elements and remain attractive for many years without much maintenance.

How is the green façade fixed?

Each panel is mounted to the wall behind it using four supplied fixing brackets. You secure the brackets with a screw. The grid slots into the brackets and is tightened with a ring on each bracket. You can easily install the panels yourself, or have our fitters do it for you.

What does a green façade cost?

The cost of a green façade varies by project, depending on the dimensions, the substrate and the working height. A single 90 x 90 cm panel costs €307.50 excl. VAT (± €379 per m², without installation) and can be ordered directly from our webshop. For a complete green façade with CoolPlantWall®, we charge ± €485 per m² excl. VAT, including materials and installation. The exact price depends on various factors; please get in touch with us!

Can the green façade be used both outdoors and indoors?

Yes, the same system is suitable for indoors and outdoors. The artificial plants are UV-resistant and fire-retardant, making them a safe choice for interior environments too. Thanks to the sturdy installation and the galvanised grid, the panels are also suitable for outdoor applications.

Can I install the green façade panels myself as well?

If you’re reasonably handy, you can also install these wall panels yourself. In the webshop you will find the ready-made system: a box with three panels of 90 x 90 cm each, including all fixing materials.

You can cut the panels to size by cutting through the metal grid at the desired point. For this, use bolt cutters or a cutting disc.

Can I see the green façade in real life somewhere?

You are very welcome to visit our showroom to see a green façade and a green wall from our CoolPlantWall® system. Please make an appointment in advance, so there is definitely someone available to give you information and think along with your project.

Is the wall certified for fire safety?

Absolutely, CoolPlantWall® outdoor meets Euroclass B (B-s2,d0 according to EN 13501-1). So with Coolplant, you always choose safe and durable wall planting. Safety, beauty and solidity in one sleek system.
