A plant wall from Coolplant is a green wall made of artificial plants: as CoolPlantWall® with individual 90 × 90 cm panels (± €485 per m²) or fully bespoke with silk plants (€475 per m², fire-retardant €575). All prices excl. VAT and including installation by our own team.

Which system is best for an indoor green wall?
The CoolPlantWall® is the green wall for indoor and outdoor use. The green wall is built from individual 90 cm x 90 cm panels on a sturdy metal grid, UV- and weather-resistant and fire-retardant. The different A, B and C panels prevent repeating patterns. In addition, the green façade can be further adapted and made to measure for any outdoor space. The CoolPlantWall® is made to stay beautiful for many years without much maintenance.

Then the CoolPlantWall® system is also perfectly suitable for self-installation. Simply order the individual panels; the fixing materials are included. What is a plant wall made of?
Coolplant plant walls are made of artificial plants. Broadly speaking, we know three different types, each with its own construction: the more affordable plastic mats with a limited number of different artificial plants, the strong metal grids with many different and more durable artificial plants, and the bespoke walls that we build up plant by plant with the finest artificial silk plants.

How is a plant wall fixed?
Most plant walls need a wooden backing to fix the panels or individual artificial plants onto. We can work directly on an existing wooden wall/panel. If there is no wood in place yet, we first install a wooden board ourselves. This can be done against almost any existing wall. We achieve the best result if this wooden backing has a matt, dark colour (for example matt black wall paint).
We then attach the plastic mats or the individual artificial hanging plants to the wooden backing with a staple gun.
The CoolPlantWall® panels are screwed to the existing wall or façade with brackets. This can be done on almost any existing structure.
Can a plant wall be used both indoors and outdoors?
All plant walls can of course be used indoors, but not all of them are suitable for outdoor use. The CoolPlantWall® outdoor is the green wall for outdoors. It is weather-resistant, UV-resistant and fire-retardant. The Basic and the moss walls can also be used outdoors.
The bespoke green walls (custom) are for indoor use only.
Can I make a plant wall myself?
You can certainly make a plant wall yourself! One type of wall is simply more suitable for this than another. Our plant wall panels CoolPlantWall®, Basic and our moss wall panels are easy to install yourself. You can buy these products including mounting materials via the webshop.
In addition, it is possible to create a custom plant wall, built not with panels but entirely plant by plant from our individual artificial plants. This is a creative process that requires quite a lot of experience. Which is not to say that only Coolplant could do it, of course! Still, we do recommend having your unique plant wall made by a professional. A custom made plant wall can be built using either fire-retardant or non-fire-retardant artificial plants. Feel free to call us for advice, Coolplant is happy to think along with you!
Can I see a plant wall in real life somewhere?
Absolutely! You are very welcome in our showroom to admire our plant walls. To make an appointment, please contact Coolplant so that someone is there to provide information and think along with your green project.
We have also completed various plant walls at different locations in the Netherlands and abroad that you can view. We always arrange this first with the client involved.

Is a plant wall fire-safe?
Yes, our plant wall panels and a large part of our individual high-end artificial planting are fire-retardant and comply with Euroclass B (EN 13501-1). The fire-retardant properties even come with a factory guarantee. At Coolplant, safety is a natural part of lasting quality, especially in public spaces.
Do you also deliver bespoke projects for offices or hotels?
Absolutely. Coolplant specialises in bespoke B2B solutions for office interiors, hospitality and public spaces. Our plant walls are the finishing touch for anyone wanting to combine aesthetics and durability.
What exactly are A, B and C panels?
These are three unique panel designs that together create a natural, non-repetitive look. Each panel contains 88 plants, but in a different arrangement. This is how Coolplant creates a unique plant wall that surprises every time. The wall can also be supplemented with additional high-end artificial plants for an extra lush effect.
