Moss walls from Coolplant

We build the moss wall fully bespoke, using the finest artificial moss currently available. Coolplant’s new artificial moss is of very high quality, meets the legal fire-retardancy requirements and suits almost any interior.

Our moss walls are also ideally suited as a finish for our sound-absorbing wall solution. The black top layer of the sound-absorbing cladding is the perfect surface for the artificial moss, giving it even more depth.

Are moss walls made of artificial plants sustainable?

All green walls from Coolplant are produced sustainably and are fully recyclable. And as with all our products, you can also return the artificial moss to us if you ever want to part with it. We then ensure the materials are reused.

What are the moss walls made from?

Our moss wall is built up from individual mats of 50 x 50 cm. The moss elements are mounted on a flexible plastic grid. Together with our factory, we have developed the finest artificial moss currently available. The moss is UV-resistant and fire-retardant.

How is the moss wall fixed?

You can easily fix the moss mats with a tacker (staple gun) onto a wooden background. If there is no wooden background, we first mount a 9 or 12 mm wooden board to the wall.

You get the best result if the back wall is matt and dark. You can easily fit the mats yourself, or have our installers do it.

What does a moss wall made of artificial moss cost?

The cost of a moss wall varies by project, depending on the dimensions, the surface and the working height. Individual moss mats cost €185 per m² excl. VAT and can be ordered directly in the webshop.

Can the moss wall be used both indoors and outdoors?

Yes, our moss wall can be used both indoors and outdoors. The artificial moss is UV-resistant and fire-retardant, and is therefore also suitable for outdoor use. However, weather and sunlight do cause the artificial moss to wear more quickly outdoors.

Can I also install the moss wall myself?

If you are reasonably handy, you can also install the moss wall yourself. You can easily cut the mats to size with a Stanley knife and fix them with a tacker (staple gun) onto a wooden background.

You get the best result if the background is matt and dark.

Can you also provide a logo?

Yes, the moss wall is extremely suitable in combination with a (company) logo. We have a regular partner who makes logos for us in all sizes and variants. We install the logo directly when we build the wall.

We usually make the logo from thick white acrylic, which we fix to the wall with spacers. This makes the logo appear to float just in front of the moss.

Can I see the moss wall somewhere in real life?

You are very welcome in our showroom to admire a moss wall. Please make an appointment in advance, so there is definitely someone available to give you information and think along with your project.

What is the difference between artificial moss from Coolplant and reindeer moss?

Artificial moss from Coolplant is odourless, maintenance-free and resistant to discolouration and shrinkage. Reindeer moss can dry out over time, discolour or give off odours. Artificial moss from Coolplant retains its lively appearance and is also suitable for public and hygiene-sensitive environments, such as supermarkets. In addition, it is fire-retardant and easy to install.

Is artificial moss suitable for acoustic applications?

Yes, the material dampens sound slightly and contributes to pleasant acoustics. In combination with a wooden background, the effect is even better. Coolplant is happy to think along about complete concepts in which greenery also works functionally. This makes a space not only more attractive, but also calmer.
