A wall full of plants creates a wonderfully fresh outdoor feel. With a plant wall, you really bring nature indoors. There are various options and ways to create a green artificial wall. You can cover an entire wall with artificial plants, or just a strip or panel. A selection of artificial plants in a wooden frame forms an elegant green picture.

By choosing specific artificial plants and/or artificial moss, you can create a particular atmosphere with a green wall. Would you like a jungle-like feel, a minimalist atmosphere or more of an Urban Park look? With Coolplant’s hanging and insert artificial plants, you can create the most beautiful green walls.

Need a green wall for outdoors?

One of our green artificial walls has been specially made for outdoor use. This green façade, supplied in panels on a practical mounting system, can withstand all weather conditions! The weather resistance of our outdoor green wall is truly unique. The raw materials of all components contain UV-resistant and fire-retardant elements, so this green wall stays beautiful outdoors for years. Of course, you can also use this green artificial wall indoors; for example, choose a green wall for the office. Or upgrade your garden, patio, courtyard or entire façade with our outdoor green wall panels. You can cover a whole wall or fence, but individual panels are of course also possible.

Where can I buy a green wall for the office?

You see green walls in more and more offices, shops, hospitality venues and public spaces. More often than you might think, such a green partition wall in the office is made of artificial plants. Green artificial walls are ideal for the working environment. Green walls made of artificial plants or artificial moss stay attractive and require hardly any maintenance, while their positive effect on the surroundings is just as great as that of real plants. Are moss walls made of artificial plants suitable for offices?

For a green wall in the office, a moss wall or moss panels were often used, usually made of living or preserved moss. However, real moss does not have a long lifespan and soon stops looking good. Admittedly, until now artificial moss was not realistic enough as an alternative to real moss. With Coolplant’s new artificial moss, that has changed!

Coolplant supplies highly realistic artificial moss that stays beautiful for years. This moss is also produced fire-retardant, which means it can be used in publicly accessible spaces without further treatment.

What do green walls do for the acoustics in a room?

A green wall improves the acoustics of a room. This is partly true. Plants, whether artificial or real, absorb relatively little sound. Special sound-absorbing materials are needed for that. For the business market, Coolplant supplies combinations of absorbing materials and green walls that genuinely contribute to the desired acoustics. What is a green wall made of?

Our green walls are made of artificial plants. Broadly speaking, we know three different types, each with its own structure: the more affordable plastic mats with a limited number of different artificial plants, the strong metal grids with many different and more durable artificial plants, and the bespoke walls that we build plant by plant using the finest silk artificial plants.

How is a green wall installed?

For most green walls, a wooden backing is needed to attach the panels or loose artificial plants to. We can work directly onto an existing wooden wall or board. If there is no wood yet, we first install a wooden board ourselves. This can be done against almost any existing wall. We achieve the best result when this wooden backing has a matte, dark colour (for example matt black wall paint).

We then attach the plastic mats or the individual artificial hanging plants to the wooden backing with a staple gun. The panels are screwed onto the existing wall or façade using brackets. This can be done on almost any existing structure.

What does a green wall cost?

The cost of a green wall varies by wall type and project, depending on the requirements, the dimensions, the surface and the working height. As a rough guide, you can use the following indicative prices, incl. installation and a dark wooden backing, excl. VAT:

Is a green wall suitable for both indoors and outdoors?

All green walls are suitable for indoors, but not all are suitable for outdoors. Our green façade is weather-resistant, UV-resistant and fire-retardant. The basic and moss walls can also be used outdoors. The bespoke green walls (custom) are suitable for indoor use only.

Are all green walls fire-retardant?

The CoolPlantWall®, the green wall basic and the moss wall are fire-retardant from the factory. We can make the green wall custom with or without fire-retardant artificial plants. For a fire-retardant green wall, we only work with artificial plants that have already been made fire-retardant in the factory.

Can I make a green wall myself?

Yes, certainly. Some wall types are more suitable for this than others. Our basic green wall and moss wall are easy to install yourself. You can also buy these products separately via our webshop. Creating a custom green wall is a creative process that requires quite a lot of experience. That does not mean that only we can do it, but we still recommend having your unique green wall made by a professional.

Can I see a green wall in real life somewhere?

You are very welcome in our showroom to admire our green walls. Please make an appointment in advance so that someone is definitely available to give you information and think along with you about your project.

Is a green wall from Coolplant UV-resistant?

Absolutely, every version of our green wall panels is UV-resistant. The panels retain their colour and fresh structure, even in strong light. That makes them perfect for bright interiors, semi-open environments and outdoors.

How low-maintenance are Coolplant’s green walls?

Green walls from Coolplant are virtually maintenance-free: wiping them down with a cloth is enough. No water, no pruning, no extra costs. That is how Coolplant makes greening simple and sustainable.
